1)  Winter Adventure at Timberline Lodge

Mount Hood is more than a mountain. It’s a mammoth playground for the whole family. It’s an adventurer’s paradise, a dream for thrillseekers and sightseers. Hightail it to Timberline, where you’ll find yourself in the middle of it all.

Season passes are good for skiing/riding at Timberline, valid any day the lift is operating, weather conditions permitting. Family Pass Certificate is good for four individual season passes. Additional family member passes may be purchased separately. “Family” refers to immediate family members. All pass recipients must reside at the same physical address.

Entertain your guests’ palates along with their ears with a magnum of 2010 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from emerging urban winery Helioterra Wines. Vintner Anne Hubatch’s wines are pretty, sensuous and evocative in style, honoring the wine grapes and the fertile vineyards where they are grown. Only 166 cases were produced of this lovely limited release. This pinot noir greets you with cassis, pomegranate, and red currant. On the palate the wine is very focused and lively, with a core of dried cranberries, tobacco, cola, and a touch of fresh oregano. Share this wine alongside a gourmet Italian meal to make your taste buds sing.

5)  “Cellar Door” Package

  • Six bottles of California Zinfandel wines from Ridge Estates

Wines include: 2006 Pagani Ranch, 2006 Geyserville, 2007 Paso Robles, 2007 York Creek, 2008 Pagani Ranch, and 2008 East Bench.

The 2007 York Creek was racked to oak barrels for twelve months of aging. Though rich and structured, this is one of the most supple and elegant wines made from the York Creek vineyard. Enjoyable now, it will continue to develop over the next three to five years.

The 2006 Geyserville was barrel-aged for fourteen months to yield a rich, well-structured, fully integrated zinfandel. Elegant tannins and intense fruit make it enjoyable now; it will be best over the next four to six years.

Package includes dinner at Portland hot spot Toro Bravo, a warm and friendly Spanish-inspired tapas restaurant from Chef John Gorham.  Dishes are made with locally sourced ingredients and house-cured meats, often displaying Pacific Northwest and French influence.

8)  Photo Print

Full Moon, Kauai , donated by photographer Robert Aughenbaugh, is a 8” x 6” image printed on Arches Platine paper. Platinum/palladium is a photographic process popular around the turn of the century that is enjoying a resurgence of interest. It is known for its rich, warm tones and is one of the most archival of photographic processes.

This image, handprinted by the artist in 2010, was the result of a long exposure at night on a beach in Kauai, Hawaii. It is lit only by the rising moon and ambient light from the surrounding area.

The photographer was the founder and creative director at ID Branding, and the founder and CEO of Via Training in Portland, Oregon. Since his retirement, Robert has devoted himself to his long-standing interest in photography with an emphasis on alternative processes.
