Our Governor plays a critical role in building a bright future for children and youth across our state, and the stakes are high for kids as Oregon’s gubernatorial race heats up. That’s why United for Kids has invited gubernatorial candidates to participate in a forum this fall about a range of children’s issues — from economic security to education to health and safety.
The United for Kids Gubernatorial Forum passes the microphone to children and youth, who will be asking questions of our state’s candidates about critical issues for kids. The Forum will be held before a live audience and broadcast widely with a media representative serving as moderator.
We are honored to have the support and guidance of a distinguished and bipartisan Leadership Council to oversee the United for Kids Forum, who will prioritize the children’s issues that will be covered at the event and ensure a fair format. Over 100 United for Kids partner groups will identify child and youth representatives and field potential questions to be asked of candidates, ensuring a wide range of children’s issues are addressed in a balanced and representative manner.
Stay tuned for more information. We look forward to hearing the questions Oregon kids have for our future Governor!
